Kingstons.com’s Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect and use the personal information that can specifically identify you such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address (“personal information”) that you decide to share when you register at Kingstons.com. In order to fully utilize all the features of the website, its Service(s) and Tools you must register and create an account at www.Kingstons.com at its myAccount section, and its associated domains (collectively “Kingstons.com” or “website” or “Site”).


By using or accessing Kingstons.com, you are hereby accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not require that you provide, nor do we collect, any personal information if you are just browsing the Site.

When you register yourself at Kingstons.com by creating a personal profile you may begin to use various Services and Tools provided to you by the Site which include for instance sending and receiving messages, forming collaborating groups and relationships, performing searches and saving the query results, setting up events and inviting people to the events, posting your favorite business listings and buying or selling products or services through the GetClassified section. To provide such personalize service and to properly allow the tools to function we need to collect and retain some information. In most cases we retain this information so you can return to the Site to view your past actions and those of your collaborators, friends and family. When you update any information we keep a backup copy for a reasonable time period to enable you to revert back to your prior version. We encourage that you always keep a backup yourself of any information you deem is critical and important to you.

When you post User Information (as defined in the Kingstsons.com Terms of Use) on the Site you do so at your own risk. Kingstons.com myAccount section does allow you to set privacy options that can limit and control access to your pages that you deem private and public, please be aware that no security measures are impenetrable or perfect. Since you may chose to share pages, photos, images, files, and other information with friends, family, co-workers or collaborators, and you may set such information as public (viewable by all) and or private and interchange these settings, we cannot therefore and do not guarantee that the User Information you have updated and or posted to the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We cannot be held responsible for any circumvention or compromise of any of your privacy settings within your myAccount sections contained in the Site. You also acknowledge and understand that, although you may have removed copies of User Information, such information my still remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users may have stored or copied it.

Our Post Business Listings section, Invite family, friend or co-worker (“Invite Groups” or “Groups”) allows you to send invitations to these respective categories of businesses and people and allows you to share such listings with the members of your Groups. In the case of Business Listings you will provide Business Name, Address, Phone, URL and contact email for the business. In the case of invitations to the members of your Group you will provide invitational information such use first and last name, email address. We will automatically send an email to allow the Businesses or Group Members to visit the Site. Kingstons.com must store this information to send this email invitation. In the event the Business or Group member would like to be removed from our database they must email us at info@kingstons.com to request removal in writing.

Kingstons.com and their participants may also collect, compile, update, add data about the Businesses you have posted, or about you from other sources, such as newspapers, blogs, instant messaging services, and through other Tools and Services offered at the site to provide you with a more personalized and useful experience of the Site.

By using Kingstons.com you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may offer on the Site non-transactional and transaction based services ("Service(s)") and Tools in which, subject to applicable terms and availability, you may participate and use (Registration into the site may be necessary to use some of these features e.g., submitting business listings, posting classified ads, create events, using the Task Manager to organize a project or becoming a Member to buy or sell items through classified ‘want to buy’ and ‘want to sell’ sections., using our Invitation and collaboration service to alert friends, family and associates to products, services, businesses, documents and specials.).

In order to provide you with the Services and Tools you request, Kingstons.com may require that you first provide certain personal information, which we determine is reasonably necessary in order for us to fulfill your request. If you indicate an interest in participating in a Service or use of Tool, we will identify what specific personal information you must provide prior to collecting such information. Any personal information which we collect from you will only be used for the purposes identified in this Privacy Statement, and the Kingstons.com Terms of Use. To update, modify or delete any personal information you provide to us with respect to a Service or Tool you may access your account with Kingstons.com, make the changes on http://www.Kingstons.com/login.aspx and submit the same to Kingstons.com.

Kingstons.com will not disclose your personal information to any third party unless: 1) it is necessary in order to provide you with a particular Service or Tool you have requested; 2) it is required of Kingstons.com in order to comply with a legal process in any applicable jurisdiction (e.g., court order, subpoena, search warrant, law enforcement request); 3) Kingstons.com determines, in its sole discretion, that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of Kingstons.com, its subsidiaries, affiliates, co-brand partners or other parties under contract with Kingstons.com, our users, or others; or 4) you have provided such data through a partner web site, in which case Kingstons.com may provide your personal data to that partner (Kingstons.com is not responsible for its partners' privacy policies or their use, storage and processing of data collected on their web sites).

In certain instances, Kingstons.com may request that you provide secondary information (e.g., demographic information), which we may use, for example, to learn more about our customers and to develop and improve our services. Any requests for secondary information will be marked "optional" (or its equivalent). We may compile your personal information with that collected from other customers to create aggregate data. Aggregate data is information about groups of customers and, once compiled, will in no way identify you as an individual. We may disclose aggregate data to our business affiliates, advertisers, and other parties.

Our web servers collect from Site visitors’ statistical information regarding what pages are visited, the date and time of the visits, how long it took a user to download a page, and the TCP/IP address of the user. These automated server functions do not collect this information in a manner intended to identify your individual use of the Site, nor do we use this information for any such purpose. This information is collected to assist us in maintaining a high quality site, as well as, providing necessary traffic information to our advertisers.

The Site contains cookie technology, which collects non-personal information about you which is used to customize the Site for your future use. When you use Kingstons.com, we collect your browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all Kingstons.com users. In addition, we store certain information from your browser using “cookies”. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the user closes their browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your user ID (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to Kingstons.com. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this convenience feature.

Our third-party advertising companies also separately place or recognize a cookie file on your browser in the course of delivering advertisements to the Site. These companies may use non-personal information collected by the cookies about your visits to the Site and other web sites in order to provide you with advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

The Site contains links to web sites of third parties. Kingstons.com is not responsible for the actions of these third parties, including their privacy practices and any content posted on their web sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies to learn more about what, why and how they collect and use personal information. Kingstons.com adheres to industry recognized standards to secure any personal information in our possession, and to secure it from unauthorized access and tampering. However, as is true with all online actions, it is possible that third parties may unlawfully intercept transmissions of personal information, or other users of the Site may misuse or abuse your personal information that they may collect from the Site.

Kingstons.com uses third-party advertising companies to serve our ads on the Site. These third-party advertising companies employ cookie and 1x1 pixel .gifs or web beacons to measure and improve the effectiveness of ads for their clients. To do so, these companies may use anonymous information about your visits to our website and other websites, but will not collect any information which can personally identify you or can be linked to you. This information can include: date/time of banner ad shown, the banner ad that was shown, their cookie, and the IP address. This information can also be used for online preference marketing purposes.

The materials from the Site are only available for informational and non-commercial offline use, provided that: the materials are not modified in any way; all copyright and other proprietary notices and markings are retained and reproduced in their entirety on any copy made from any material on the Site; and Kingstons.com has, in its sole discretion, given its prior written approval to such use of the Site's materials.
